Grupa at Zagreb Design Week
Grupa teams up with Prostoria to take part in the city's largest design event
In collaboration with our partners, the furniture maker Prostoria, Grupa was featured at Zagreb Design Week, the largest annual design event in Croatia started in 2014 which showcases best examples of contemporary homegrown design to local audiences.
This year we teamed up to create a joint exhibition space, a mock-up of a living room interior which invited visitors to try out products by Grupa and Prostoria in a natural home setting. Grupa was tasked with curating and staging of the space, and among the products on display were the Arigato pendant lamp, Baluna table, and the Igram integrated lamp-table. We also produced a custom six-sphere Baluna chandelier to complement our vision of a stylish and contemporary home.
The event took place at the historic 19th-century building housing the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts, with our section located in the area normally hosting their sculpture department. Because of this, we decided to incorporate a selection of works made by the academy's aspiring artists into our set design.
